October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). This holiday commemorates the essential talents of disabled members of the country’s workforce. People with disabilities form a key contingent across all industries, but there is still work to be done by everyone to make sure fair treatment and equitable pay apply to all. Part of the Department of Labor’s (DoL) goal in establishing NDEAM is to ensure people with disabilities are treated equitably and fairly in the workplace. This year’s theme is “Access to Good Jobs for All.” You can learn more about the significance of this month in English and in Spanish on the DoL NDEAM website.
